A VERY SPECIFIC ASTRONAUT
When our kiddos excitedly tell us that they know what they want to be when they grow up, we usually meet that excitement with equal parts enthusiasm and the expectation that the devoted vocation is likely to change in the next couple weeks... and occasionally the next couple hours, depending on what movie the family is about to watch. In fact, one of the office kids once passionately proclaimed no less than??thirty-seven??different intended occupations over the span of a four-minute YouTube clip. (Come to think of it, the video may have been unrelated to the kiddo chatter.)??
Anyway, thanks to??Toy Story, the particulars of space travel has dynamically changed. When our tykes would insist that they were going to be an astronaut before, we imagined them proudly wearing a NASA logo on their shirt front. Since Buzz let them know about infinity and beyond, though, they're much more focused on the iconic armor of the Space Rangers! Fortunately, by the time they're fully grown, that might be an option! Time to get them started now...??
