Dia de Muertos In Mexcio, they don't celebrate Halloween. Instead, they celebrate Dia de Muertos: the Day of the Dead.?? How fabulous is that?! Look, we weren't going to bring it up before, but some of the same old, same old Halloween stuff is getting, well, a little??old.??Which is why we're super excited to look into and learn about other eerie holidays around the world. First stop? Day of the Dead, of course. This is a nationally celebrated holiday where friends and family come together to remember those that have passed on. Family members??visit grave sites and bring gifts. They create altars to remember those lost. They hold parades and festivals. They have a lot of skulls (calaveras) and skeletons to decorate and symbolize the day. In some places? They even dress up like the dead to celebrate.?? Which is exactly why we have our Boy's Day of the Dead Costume. This outfit comes with a faux red suede jacket, complete with black satin lapels and red cloth roses.
